Our house is a large residence in the countryside yet within 10 minitues by car of the City and 10 mins to Fota Island Golf Club which has hosted the Murphys Irish Open.It is on an acre of grounds. We had the house built & completed in 2003. We look down to Cork City with a nice night time view of the city lights. There are numerous top quality Golf Courses within 40 mins to 2 hr drive. Such as Old Head Kinsale 40 mins: Adare Manor 50 Mins:Waterville 1.5 hrs: Ballybunion 1.5: Lahinch Gollf Links 2.5 hours.
Nerby attractions within 1 hour drive include: Cork City, many beaches,Kinsale, Blarney Castle, West Cork, Lakes of Killarney: (>1.5 hours)Ring of Kerry, Tralee, Limerick, Bunratty Castle, Kilkenny, Lismore Castle, Waterford.
Cork Airport 20 mins, Shannon Airport (1.5 hours) with direct flights from LA, San Francisco, Atlanta, NY, Boston, Chicago.
Also many direct cheap flights from Shannon & Cork to continental European destinations London Paris Rome Madrid Nice Portugal Milan etc (see www.aerlingus.com and www.ryanair.com)
